Life with the Bates: 9 Months of Blessings

Sweet Baby Lane,
WOW, 9 Months old!!! I sure wish time would slow down a bit. It seems to be flying by. I'm always amazed as another month has passed. What a blessing to have had you as part of our family for the last nine months.
What has happened in the last month? Well.....

you have had your check up with your pediatric specialist about your condition and PRAISE the Lord you are getting better-he believes that you have almost out grown the laryngomalacia. He has extended your next visit to 6 months from August (March 2014). Whoot Whoot.
At your specialist appointment which was 8-20-13 you weighted in at 17 lbs 10oz. Can't wait to see what you weights is at your 9 month pediatrician appointment 9-10-123.
You have gotten your 3rd and 4th tooth (8/7/13 and 9/6/13-respectfully).
You still are breastfeed
You are still eating stage 2 food and you LOVE the fruits!!!
You have also started eating baby cheetos, and wagon wheels.
AND you had your first taste of REAL food-mashed taters 8-22-13 and spaghetti noodles 9-6-13.
You brushed your teeth for the first time 9-3-13
You went on your first vacation- to the BEACH 8/23/13-8/30/13 (yes, a whole week) and you did so great. (Hilton Head Resort).
Before we left for beach Friday 8/23 you started pulling up on things a bit, but went full force the Sunday after we got home 9/1/13.
You also took your first bath with your brother in the BIG tub (still sitting in your whale tube) while at the beach on 8-24-13 and again after we got home on 9-6-13
Since Sunday 9/1/13 we have had to lower your crib two times so that you would not fall out since you have figured out how to pull yourself up in it.
You have figured out how to go from laying flat of your back to sitting by yourself.
you still sleep in your room by yourself-and occasionally you sleep through the night but that's rare-I wish that would change
not only do you like to smile and laugh at your big brother but you like to chase him (of course crawling) and you are about as fast as him.

WOW, what a lot of things, especially first that happened this past month.We are amazed every single day at the new things you do, the babbling sounds you make, the funny looks you give us, and the laughter you bring us. We still pray for you daily. Pray that you will come to know Jesus at a young age, that you love him with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. We pray for you condition to go away by the next specialist visit (March 2014), that your strawberry will start to go away, and that you will grow into a happy, healthy little boy. We are oh so blessed to have you in our lives and can't imagine life without you.
